At first glance, Inquisitor Bartholomew Khan is the dour inquisitor with a cold disposition and sociopathic tendencies that propagate the rumors of his kind. he tolerates no foolishness, never shows his face, and very rarely shows any emotion: his thoughts are his own, and if he shares them, there is trouble. he answers to no man, and makes it clear he intends to continue that trend.

he has no tolerance for incompetence, cowardice, or criminals. he refuses to employ them and refuses to allow them to escape his scrutiny if he passes it by. more than one street gang has ended up crucified to a brick wall because of bartholomews vigilantism, if you can call an inquisitor a vigilante! cowards and traitors are met with the harshest and most brutal reprisal, and their screams of mercy go unheard. he is seen sometimes as a butcher in this manner by those more liberal than he.

however, he also honors his fallen brethren, and will go to any length to preserve the life of someone on his staff, or to recover the body of a fallen hero. his passion for life and love are unknown to all but his closest confidants; to most, he could very easily just be another tech priest, emotionless, uncaring, distant and without remorse.

he thinks logically, and detached, with little need for frivolous talking. sometimes, he will simply walk off in the middle of a sentence to do something, finding further discussion unnecessary. this unnerves those who do not understand his way of thinking.

A neophyte in the Terror Tigers Space Marine Chapter, Solomon was sent to earth on a tithe year to see how they submitted geneseed samples to adeptus terra as a training exercise. given only a few implants, such as the strength increasing gland the Biscopea and a few others. on the way back to the traveling space ship fortress monestary, he was in the middle of surgery and unconcious.

uppon awaking, he saw he was in the company of the inquisitor Bartholomew Khan, and dire news about his chapter; he was now the sole remaining member of the entire force of space marines.

now he serves the inquisitor with all his ability and works to do his will wherever he is able.

Grim and Grom are two squattish engineer twins who were found aboard an astroid devoid of any other life. true survivalists to the bone, the two squats lived their lives for many months before the inquisitorial starship came to investigate. taking them aboard, they were placed in the engine room, much to the chagrin of the resident tech priest, who admonishes them regularly for their lack of piety.

Cindiis the head adept of bartholomews inquisitorial force. a wealth of knowlege. she is so old that she resides in a hoverchair, her body haunched and wrinkled, huge round specticals sit uppon her nose. she refuses rejuvenation.

oddly enough, there has been some sort of past between she and the inquisitor that is not completely obvious. what that relationship was is up for speculation, and the inquisitors silent demeanor usually represses the desire to ask questions about it.

she handles the offical business about the ship, and is the undisputed authority under bartholomew. she is incredibly patient, and has seen many personalities come and go. she has an insight to most human nature, and is accepting of many that others would not be.

Lord Marshal Lugar Colt

Lugar Colt was originally the third in command under Bartholomew, one of his most dependable acolytes and loyal friends, until an unfortunate betrayal cost him his life in a battle for a lost world.

lugar had no incling of his past before the inquisition, and bartholomew tried restlessly to peice together his past for him, unlocking clues telepathically, but all utterly futile with the untimely passing of one of the greatest investigators at his disposal.

one can only speculate the fate of the still living wretch who betrayed lugar, however, as the inquisition has ways in which to torment even the dying, and make that torment last. and Bartholomew is more knowlegable than most, and far crueler, to heretics who betray him and the cause of the imperium.

UPDATE: Lugar Cold has been resurected using cybernetic engineering, his body having been hanging upon the edge of life and death in stasis and sent directly to mars. the fate of the traitor, however, was to be remade as a servitor, shaped like a snail, whose tongue was unnaturally elongated and programmed to slather upon the floor of the Emperors Flame, cleaning the restrooms and filth. with heightened hearing, sight, taste and touch, he is keenly aware of all that transpires around him...yet unable to prevent himself from his bodies programmed duty, to lick the filth from the feet of those he betrayed for eternity.

Skavie is an odd little mutant whose stable family tree has marked him as a metahuman much like squats ratlings and ogryns. he has befriended the team by proving his loyalty to the emperor, and repeatedly assisting them in any way he can. In particular he has befriended the usually stoic and unfeeling Sila, who seems to have been drawn out of her shell by his furry innocence.
