After landing planetside and breaking through the Ork lines at Blade's Edge the party succeeded in stumbling upon several patrols and a warparty enroute to Black Ridge. After dispatching several of the patrols and giving a meganob the run around, a series of distractions by the team and a pinpoint shot to the meganobs power reactor coil cleared out the local area of threat.

A short interrogation of the Ork revealed that Grimthak was on his way to destroy Black Ridge, prompting the party to move quickly towards the city, after Commisar Silvreski executed the immobile Ork.

A noticeable lack of navigation skills lead the team to a town that seemed to be Blackridge, albeit completely without signs of life. An extremely poor reconnissance effort by "Coppertop" eventually revealed the city to be a fake, just as Grimthak and his warband emerged from the buildings. The retinue succeeded in taking control of several Orkish bikes as Coppertop lead some 150 Orks in a game of "Smash da 'ummie", which ended when Commisar Silvreski, by sheer happenstance, tapped into some strange Orkish understanding of speed and raced off into the forest at speeds that stunned the pursuing Orks. Despite all odds Silvreski and his passenger Kaylin survived.

Arriving at the city they found it already under attack by a warboss that looked exactly like Grimthak, whom they had just left several dozen kilometers back. The team split, one group (Coppertop and Kaylin) going to reinvestigate the fake city while the others found their way into the beseiged settlement.

Eventual study of the devices left by the Orks at the fake city were found to be coordinate transmitters that were used to make up for the extremely inaccurate nature of Ork teleportation devices, allowing them to travel where ever they pleased.

The human design and construction of the beacons, in concert with words by Grimthak stating that a "'ummie tek boy" was involved has led the retinue to believe that the Orks are being directly assisted by a human traitor.

A subsequent attack by the supposed Grimthak, involving the use of upright electric devices of unknown and beacons, succeeded in entering the town unopposed, dooming the city to the Orks. The team immediately withdrew and are enroute back to Blade's Edge.

Other information:
-Through an incredible reserve of nerve, Coppertop learned that multiple beacons, when activated and spread apart will also spread the teleporting force to the various beacons. He also learned both of the shocking and concussive force of the teleportation as well as the ability of humans to fly through the sky in a mindless state of joy and pain when at the center of a teleportation.

Returning to Blades Edge, the team determined the next course of action was to identify the "traitor" that had been supplying the Orks with the beacon technology they used to teleport around. As most signs pointed to the culprits being within the Archeotech academy at Blood Tide, they began to decided whether proceeding out into the field or returning to the space port in search of the sequested tech-priests who had labored at the digsites immediately prior to the Orkish invasion.

Using her feminine wiles, Modesty managed to gain transport to the city of Blood Tide, the resort and science retreat of Thordas. Her actions resolved the choice for the retinue as they prepared to make their way to Blood Tide. Arriving at the city, the team acted as Modesty's personal entourage to gain entry to the Governor's Palace.

Coltrane, having collected a tech-priest from Blade's Edge, decided to let the others move around with in the palace while he investigated the archeotech academy. Using the tech-priest to get back the preliminary defenses, Coltrane eventually penetrated directly into the labs, finding a project collected about the same time the Orkish attack began. The door, titled "Machine without, humanity within", was heavily reinforced. The eyes of the Emperor were undoubtedly upon him as he overcame an extremely advanced security system and entered the room.
Within he found a humanoid whose outer surface appeared of nothing but metal. Time spent investigating offered him little. Eventually his hand was forced by the arrival of security, leading him to opening the pod of the metal man. The man arose, and soon identified himself as an android. A part of the forbidden tech Silica Animus, the Iron Men- Hereticus Terminus. The droid identified itself as a kill droid and promptly attempted to carry out its function against Coltrane. The entrance of the security teams stalled their game of cat and mouse, leading to the escape of the Iron Man as he rampaged through the buildings. Coltrane's attempts for further reconnissance proved fruitless when he ran into the droid again near the Data Repository, which the droid destroyed using one of the teleportation beacons and an incoming Orkish tele-unit.

The rest of the team collected and have made pursuit of the Iron Man. Coltrane, suspecting the Iron Man's destination and intent to awaken his bretheren, called down a ballistic strike against the digsite, illuminating the horizon as the crew made their way towards the site.

Arriving first at Blade's Edge, the retinue discovered the remains of the base that had been hit by Loran, the resurrected Iron Man, while they were enroute. The base lieutenant, along with the surly quartermaster and the unrecognized genius Chirurgeon Makrell were among the survivng, who helped to re-equip to the group before bringing out their "big guns", four basilisks armed with earthshaker cannons, and making haste towards the toasted digsite.

Enroute, Kaylin noticed a contrail moving away from the original digsite and moving north-easterly towards what would be identified as another abandoned digsite. Pounding the site with artillery several times, the retinue moved quickly towards their new destination.

Arriving, the group attempted to manuever itself around the battlefield as they observed the digsite. A group of tech-priest, marked as members of the Thoradas Archeotech Academy members, busied themselves around the site, as Loran stood next to one of the larger, more heavily augmented priests.

Coltrane, waiting for a distraction, moved in to incapacitate the largest tech-prist when Grendal, evidently unaware of a large group of tech-priests and a Dark Age of Technology war machine in the midst of the field, drove his Basilisk into the middle of the digsite. As Loran went to deal with the tank, Coltrane pulled down the tech-priest while Kaylin killed the tech-priests that came to defend Coltrane's quarry.

As the rest of the retinue attacked, Loran withdrew to a vault door in the round and opened it, releasing 12 cycloptic Iron Men onto the battlefield. What followed was a quick series of people stabbing and getting stabbed before Modesty, at the behest of Coltrane, activated a teleportation beacon as Coltrane descended into the digsite underground to tamper with the systems. After locking Loran out of an attempt to activate the rest of his machine posse, Coltrane set the system into a loop that would prevent anyone from using the system without rebuilding the whole thing.

As the massive explosion that the team was fast learning to associate with the arrival of an Ork force, the retinue quickly withdrew as the dust settled and the choppas and shootas started coming out.

Other information:
-Commissar "Vladmir Captain Crunch" Silvreski has taken it upon himself to deal with heresy within the group as he sees fit.
-The group is rapidly running out of safe places to go in their mission zone.

Returning to the ruins of Blade's Edge the group relinquished the traitor tech-priest into the hands of Caitan Reath, watched Commissar Silvreski get carted off by the medical staff and collected a few supplies.

In what would prove to be a fateful decision, Coltrane decided that there was no better time than the present to attack Grimthak with the Deathwatch being mobilized at that very moment. Intending to be little more than an observer; giving assistance to the Deathwatch when needed and, if an excellent opportunity presented itself, taking a kill shot at the Orkish Warboss, Coltrane and the group departed with the Deathwatch forces/

Upon arriving at the battle a critical hit to the shuttles hull forced it to make a crash landing in the midst of the Orkish horde. Mere seconds after the impact, the retinue found itself beset by Orks attempting to pry the craft open and get at the pink 'ummies inside. Drawing on her own (practised?) gutteral tones Modesty succeeded in using simple Low Gothic to communicate to the Orks that those inside were also Orks who had stolen the craft. This bought the crew a moments reprieve, as they determined the best way out was the use of several armed transport bikes stowed in the back of the hold.

Running down, shooting and slashing Orks as they went, the retinue made quick progress back towards Deathwatch lines. Suddenly, the explosive sound of a Thunderclap and displaced air signaled too late for Coltrane (and his bike's pilot) the arrival of Warboss Grimthak. Wrecking the bike, snapping the driver in half and sending Coltrane flying, Grimthak stood in the midst of the battlefield ready to wreck any and all targets he could get at.

The group begin an all out attack on the Warboss, as lesser Orks circled around them, excited by the sight of the coming battle. The retinue soon found themselves woefully under-equipped for dealing with the extremely tough, strong and well armored Ork until a Deathwatch wielding a Power Halberd took off the Warbosses shoota arm. The Deathwatch was smacked away with a single, powerful punch of Grimthak's power claw, leaving the halberd flipping through the air before sticking, tip down, into the earth.

A series of extremely perilous attacks, designed to confuse, disorientate and generally tick off Grimthak left Coltrane caught in the Orks powerclaw, Modesty bumbed up and without a bike and the other emptying clips of bullets into their foe. Kaylin, having seized the Deathwatch weapon (and discovered how heavy it was), attempted to strike at the warboss several times to no avail. Finally, with the warbosses attention focused elsewhere and many of his lower appendages temporarily disabled Kaylin finally succeeded in slashing through the armor and burrying the halberd deep into the Ork's chest before shoving it out the other side. The Orks life rapidly subsided leaving the group whooping and cheering with success.

The moments victory soon turned somber as the realization that they were still surrounded by a throng of Orks who wanted to 'put dem on pointy sticks' returned to them. The group was rushed by the Orks, leveling a series of vicious blows againt the retinue, one of which caught Modesty in the side, shearing off a large chunk of skin and flesh, sending her to the ground in a state of shock. Coltrane, seeking someway out of their imminent demise called for a pick up, but instead got Lieutenant Reeve who promptly pummeled the surrounding area with cannon fire. The resulting firestorm shattered the Orks surrounding the retinue, while amazingly not hitting a single member of the group.

The group was collected and taken aboard a shuttle that took them not back to Blade's Edge, but to the Inquisitorial Ships waiting in orbit. There they witnessed the launching of various vessels carrying large and ornately sealed ordinance, soon to be identified as weapons of a sanctioned Exterminatus. Taken aboard the ships, each and every one of them was whisked off to a medical examination room to undergo medical treatment and detox.

Recuperating aboard the Inquisitorial Battleship "Emperor's Inferno", the retinue spent some part of 3 months resting and training themselves up. Some, such as Modesty had more relaxing to do than others, but the team came out appearing more or less unscathed from the mission (despite the wounds they received).

During their final check ups the primary power coils to the ship suddenly shut off, leaving the ship derelict and on back-up power systems in the middle of the warp. A call came through for the assistance of Coppertop and the others to assist in the engine room. Lacking an understanding of the Adeptus Mechanicus' extreme dislike of tresspassing in the sacred Engine Coils, the group responded to the call for aide.

Arriving they discovered the first area to be devoid of activity. Lack of knowledge of the protocol or the normal presence of people within the room, lead the group with little recourse but to follow the orders of the voice that called them. The Engine room doors closed and locked behind them. Enter a control room located between the primary engine coils and the titled "Geller Field Generator Room", they discovered bodies eviscerated by blades that seemed capable of cauterizing wounds directly behind the cut.

The groups fears soon became realized as the mechanical timbre of Loran's voice called them into the Geller Field room. Entering within, the found a machine man that looked similar to Loran, albeit much larger and more heavy plated in metal.

After several minutes of banter regarding heresy and evil plans, Loran finally got down to the reason for his request of their presence. He wished to make his way to a certain world. And he needed the team to do it. It became quickly apparent that half the team was going to have nothing to do with it, and the other half had nothing but sabotage on their minds.

Modesty attempted to "commune" with what appeared to be the centerpiece of the Geller Field Generator, a single, elderly psyker. Her mind proved unready for the result of her attempt to communicate in this fashion, as her attempt to sabotage Loran's efforts forced her mind into a stream of thought that showed her the exact world Loran wished to go to, located in the Jiraxis system of the Jurrel Sector.

Coppertop succeeded in an "exchange" with Loran to get ahold of his data banks. All of it. Coppertop then proceeded to attempt to force the engines to plunge out of the Warp, rather than redirect their power to the Geller Field as Loran desired.

Finally, Silvreski, having retrieved Modesty from her sudden episode, realizing that no weaponry he had could finish Loran, took one of Modesty's EMP grenades and shoved it into the Geller Field Generator's primary energy coils, disrupting the device and causing the field to collapse (as well turnng the Commissar's arm to scrap). Instantly, an array of warp intrusions around the ship told the retinue that they were in trouble. With a quick and miraculous scan of the engines, Coppertop succeeding in forcing the ship from the Warp, and preventing a few of the larger manifesting daemons from completing their formation.

Quickly making their escape, Modesty got seperated from the others, eventually finding a hiding place in air vent. This move would prove to be insufficient to the task of hiding her from the intention of several Deathwatch marines and Tech-priest Myrmidons who dragged her out and took her along on their journey to cleanse the Engine Room. There she would see the destruction of the metal frame of Loran, while she cowered in the corner. Eventually, an elderly gentleman, with the markings of an Inquisitor arrived to save her from the on-site interrogation the marines were preparing and lead her off to a meeting room to speak with her.

Meanwhile, Coppertop, Vladmir and Wilhelmina retreated to a local armory, as per the orders of Caiten Reath. Their joy in seeing so many lovely weapons was cut short by the untimely arrival of a manifested daemon; a bloodthirster. Pounding the trio first with an unreal psychic strike of fear, Wilhelmina found herself unready by the sudden attack on her senses and crumbled, as Coppertop winced back and Vladmir, though mildly shaken, held his ground. A quick battle carried on that resulted in the destruction of the beast, using two anti-tank melta bombs.

Wilhelmina and Vladmir were apprehended by Inquisitorial Stormtroopers while Coppertop escaped to get in contact with Caiten Reath. After light interrogation, Vladmir and Wilhelmina were released after Copper met with Reath (and eventually Modesty who suddenly reappeared to Reath's great surprise), before sequestering Loran's data chip away and "turning himself in". The group was eventually released as the higher ups began to argue about their fate.

After some deliberation regarding the fate of the team, it was decided that their "tech heresy" for intruding into the domain of the tech-priests MIGHT be forgiven if they could collect a piece of technology that was being dug up in the Jiraxis system. The Inquisitorial Fleet made pace towards the system as it launched several probe missions towards the planet and outlying systems.

Arriving at Jiraxis the team was deployed to the planet of Jiraxis IV, set to land at capital city of Marsus. As their shuttle descended, the team caught the sight of a massive explosion not unlike an atomic (besides the strange green tint to it) destroying the capital and forcing the shuttle to divert itself to the provisional capital of Rejas. Once there, they were collected by their contact Rindan after several hours waiting. They were then taken by train and land rover to the digsite located 60 km to the west of the city of Rigis. They arrived as the dig site workers prepared to open the black, obsidian-like door to the location of the artifact they were to collect.

Once inside the team located what appeared to be a dias with 10 runic symbols carved onto it. While Coltrane penetrated deeper into the tomb, Modesty, egged on by flashbacks and memories what she presumed to be the psyker she connected with in the Geller Field Generator, activated the dias with precision laspistol blasts. As it began to glow, the tomb seemed to come alive with a green hue with a background hum pervading the area. Sounds of combat and explosions reached the group Soon the retinue came into contact with what had been sleeping there for so long. Metallic skeleton constructs marched into the dias room and immediately

Metallic skeleton constructs marched into the dais room and immediately began to open fire on Silvreski, Modesty and Wilhelmina. However, numbering only two, the weaponry of those in the dais room proved more than up to the task of sending the lifeless constructs to the ground. As Commissar Silvreski approached the downed enemy and gave it a good bye blow, the constructs suddenly re-animated themselves in a flash of green energy and knocked the Commissar to the ground. As Wilhelmina and Modesty attempted to supply fire support to the floored Silvreski, Modesty's lack of training in proper grenade launcher usage finally became apparent as she first undershot and then overshot the metallic skeletons as they move forward, lighting the commissar on fire with incindiary rounds both times. Though Modesty succeeded in beating out the flames, while Wilhelmina down their foes and then finished them off with coup de grace shots to the heads, the fallen commissar was fully unconscious and lacking a leg and a fair amount of skin.

Meanwhile Coltrane pierced deeper into the tomb and located a slowly animating machine that had the appearance of a large spider or louse. Jumping onto its back, Coltrane evaded the attention of a larger and more intricate looking mechanical skeleton that retrieved a weapon from within the core of the machine spider before trudging off towards the battle above. Employing his lascutter Coltrane succeeded in breaching the machines protective plating causing it to abort its activation and collapse back to unlife.

Back with the others, the sounds of additional metallic heel clicks from both above and below drove the two conscious members of the group into hiding behind several pillars. While they evaded battle on the short term, the rapid arrival of more skeletal warriors forced the two to engage. Once again, Modesty began to experience the visions of the psyker giving her insight on how to stop the awakening of the machines. With Coltrane's return the group immediately began to use whatever energy source they had available to fully activate the dais. Modesty re-arranged the ruins, activating an unknown protocol that took care of the oncoming enemies, but began to heat up the tomb to extremely high levels. Carrying the severely wounded commissar, and eventually the extremely fatigued Modesty, Coltrane and Wilhelmina extracted the group from the tomb, though it cost Silvreski his other leg.

After close to an hour of waiting a shuttle descended through the atmosphere and collected the injured and exhausted retinue, returning to the Emperor's Inferno for treatment and debriefing.

The short and sweet version.
_________________________

The team is sent planetside to determine where and to whom the signals from the moon are being sent to. After some investigation they begin to learn more of a xenoist cult called "The Cleansing", lead by two members knows as "Aturel" and "Little Gunner". After checking out several factories and other locations on fake transfer manifests, the team discovers the headquarters of the cult in the city.

Modesty infiltrates the cult using knowledge gleaned from the psykers experience she gained in the Geller Field Generator, and agrees to lead them to the site. As they set out, with Operatives Kaylin, Silvreski and Rosenkreutz moving ahead to set a trap, Operative Coltrane entered the cultists HQ to blow it away.

To put it concisely, things didn't go to plan but worked out anyway. Aturel, who was determined to not be human but rather a masked Necron Pariah, was destroyed during the intercept operation while Little Gunner was captured. Coltrane destroyed the HQ, but couldn't escape the building before it collapsed and dropped him into a quiescent Necron Tomb.

The warding in place for Little Gunner's cell proved inadequate to the task of keeping him in, allowing him to blast his way out as Modesty arrived. A fight went down, Modesty didn't win, and got a little brain drain before forcing Little Gunner from her mind. He and the cultists then retreated.

Kaylin and Rosenkreutz, in the meantime, went looking for Coltrane. Finding their way down into the tombs, they proceeded to follow after signs of Coltrane as it led into one of the Necron crypts. Coltrane spent his time snatching various items and glowing gems from creatures and large ziggurats, until he drew the attention of a Necron patrol that smacked him around as Kaylin and Rosenkreutz came into the fray. They destroyed the patrol, and proceeded to drag Coltrane out, as a Tomb Spyder made repeated, passive attempts to make off with him. Modesty made a quick trip into space, where she learned of the destruction of the Emperor's Inferno and the loss of contact of Caiten Reath.

After a month of rest and preparation Modesty went looking for Little Gunner to settle the score. They blabbered some stuff about freedom and servitude, and other sort of stuff that was probably all very nice for character development, but not so important as to be repeated here. A battle of fisticuffs ensued with Modesty coming out the winner this time, and then shooting Little Gunner with a special gun designed for anti-psyker employment. The shot sealed his powers as Rosenkreutz's stormtroopers burst into the base, the doors and turrets having fallen under the control of Coltrane. Ten seconds later, it was all over and the retinue stood victorious. They soon returned to the fleet as they prepared for some much needed R&R.

A lot of catching up to do, and I neither want to describe it all in detail nor do I entirely recall it all in detail. So I shall describe it in short.

--------------------------------------------------

After the action on Jiraxis, the team was sent to the world "Jiris V" a world on which the Inquisitor known as "Tarkus" had gone missing along with his retinue. The team was dispatched to determine his whereabouts and discover what he had uncovered that has lead to his disappearance. The planet was presently involved in something of an ongoing war between the two primary houses: Thuron and Seram. Investigations of two major sub-houses of the primary ones, Thuron-Sorm and Seram-Tow revealed the presence of Eldar in both sub-houses, attempting to puppeteer their actions. Through further investigation they learned the Eldar were after ancient and long buried Eldar artifacts interred on the planet but a victorious Imperial army during the Great Crusade. During the process of eliminating the Eldar presence and brokering a peace between House Thuron and Seram (based on misunderstandings brought on by eldar defacement of prized shrines to the Emperor), the team uncovered the location on Inquisitor Tarkus as well as learned of some sort of unknown meddling in the life of sub-House Thuron-Sorm's crowned prince, Sor'rel Sorm by Eldar agents. The group eventually managed to destroy that majority of the Eldar presence before departing the world for their next assignment. Unbeknownst to the group, was the two fighting Eldar groups were in fact not Eldar vs Dark Eldar, but merely two Eldar factions of different Craftworlds.

Their next task brought them to Brazarius, a desolate world located close to the Maelstrom. During their task on Jiris they learned that Sor'rel had been "prepared" for something by the Eldar who had managed to secret him through their Webway to Brazarius to complete their prophecy. The exact nature of the preparation was unknown to the group, knowing only that the Eldar wished for the humans to see something. The groups initial task was simple, discover the location of Sor'rel Sorm (and his task) and complete a task for the Ordo Malleus on whose toes they were technically treading.
Sor'rel was discovered and it was learned that his "preparation" was to allow him interact with some ancient, most likely chaos based, artifact/location known as the "Pool of Nine". By order of Tarkus, who had taken over as leader of the acolyte cell in Reath's absence (and also Reath's previous master), the team assisted Sor'rel in collecting a total of three "keys" required to open the "Pool of Nine". The keys turned out to be a Khornate Axe (of a Bloodthirster), a diseased piece of a plaguebearers liver, and rigid phallus that was collected from a daemonette.
The group proceeded to the location of the Pool of Nine, where they went through a surreal journey of tests and puzzle solving before being admitted to the pool. Within they received visions and answers to questions they desired to know, their souls protected from such revelations by an unknown force. Upon their return to the "real world" they learned that, although it had felt as if only a few hours had past, in fact 2 weeks had gone by. The once relatively safe basin the Pool of Nine was located in was now deep behind enemy lines.
Finally carrying out the tasks of the Ordo Malleus, partly because it was necessary for their own retrieval from planetside to be possible, the team succeeded in executing two rogue psykers, acting as beacons for the summoning of daemons and additional reinforcements for the coming Reign of Chaos. With the two psykers dead, the team was picked up and the fleet departed the system.

Another whole adventure encapsulated into one post.

------------------------------------------------------

After their successful operation on Brazarius, the team received the "choice" of where to proceed next, obstensibly for the purpose of determining their capacity as independent agents though a certain level of behind the scenes politicking was undoubtedly involved. Modesty took the opportunity to follow up on a lead she had received on the homeworld from which she was disgracefully exiled from, Necromunda. After receiving the go ahead by Inquisitor Lord Jakarell, the cell proceeded to Necromunda, arriving only a few days after they left in real time due to the fickle nature of the Warp (despite the long distance in which they traveled).

Upon arriving, Modesty and the acolyte cell were received by Modesty's sister, Confessor Julie Fleury, one of the few that was actually glad to see her return. A series of meetings with the the other family members went about as well as it was to be expected, considering the bad terms on which Kalta had originally been banished. However, her reserved and humble responses to their poor reception, as well as presenting the fruits of her diplomatic labors elsewhere, allowed her to receive the acceptance of her father, Jarem Fleury, allowing her and the team to move as they saw fit.

It was only a matter of time, however, before the troubles that lay beneath the surface began to appear. News of Modesty's return soon brought rumor that she had never left, with a shadow figure using her alias to perform a number of suitably illegal actions. As the acolyte team continued its investigations it soon became apparent that the strange situation involving the Fluery family's rise to power and the odd behavior her siblings all pointed to a few skeletons in the closet. As the team began to uncover the evidence they had come looking for, the powers aligned against them acted, declaring them traitors and issued warrants for their arrest and execution. Kalta evaded the arbites and confronted her sister, Bishop Serna Fleury, as the primary suspect of their investigations. During the altercation that followed she was presumed killed. Kaylin Ghent, in a mad attempt at vengeance stormed the room where Modesty appeared slain before a mass detonation of krak bombs tore her up though leaving her just alive enough to be captured.

As the rest of the team retreated, a despondant Vladmir was forced to abandon his love in pursuit of his duties and lead the acolyte team into the depths of the Hive while Copptertop proceeded into the security stations of the Upper Hive in search of Kaylin. After several hectic days of evasion and rescue attempts, the team was re-united and prepared to continue their mission despite the loss of their primary leader for the mission. Uncovering a series of plots through contacts they picked up from the warring gangs of the Underhive as well as strange premonitions by Vlad, the cell located a special facility that appeared to be the center of some sort of research of the Fleury family. Attacking it, they began to get a picture of the sort of sins being committed, with attempts at cloning psykers for some unknown purpose and several texts referring to obscure chaos rituals and the summoning of servants of Nurgle. Within the base they also located the clones of several members of the Fleury family. Among them was included an apparent clone of Modesty, though it retained all of her knowledge, personality and "charm", and who had escaped of her own volition when the team attacked.

Re-united and with a much clearer idea of the heresy committed by her family, Modesty and the group united several of the warring gangs and used them as shock troops in their attempt to gain access to the Upper Hive and confront the fallen household. Piercing all the way up to the upper cathedral, Modesty and the team succeeding in ending the plans of Serna as well as her ally and confidante, Verne Fleury. As the reached the palace, they discovered that Inez Fleury, Kalta's mother, had murdered her father Jarem as the final act in her own completion of some sort of chaos ritual in the service of the rival Dark God Tzeentch. While the team made no particular attempt to discern the reasons behind the competing cults within the family, they did succeed in ultimately destroying the mutating form of Inez as she attempt to reach her daemonic apotheosis, calling down a macrocannon strike of all things to finish the job. Vladmir was critically injured in the bombardment and would require several years of reconstructive surgery to reclaim. The others received dire injuries themselves but walked away from the battlefield all the same. A shuttle descended from a ship claimed from the traitor factions by their allies and swept the team back up into the stars to await the arrival of Jakarell and his fleet.

After observing the condition of the world and the present political situation, the acolyte cell was given a "training hiatus" in which to restore the world to some semblence of order and sharpen their own respective skills. It would be five years before the team regathered to serve the Inquisition in a direct capacity again.
