RP Rationale:
The time spent in practicing his techniques on the various wounded and injured that they had collected from the doomed daemon world had given Praetus a considerably stronger grasp of his new craft. So many injuries and wounds, some of them struck by physical blows, other by the very taint of the Warp. Praetus never found himself wanting for patients during his off hours. But one particular element had become of interest to him.
Prolonged exposure to the daemons influence, as well as perhaps the damage caused by the daemons themselves in combat, seemed to cause a number of mild mutations amongst the troops. Some marks were more obvious than others. Some the simple tremors caused by a mind struck by Warp intrustion, others would need to receive the Emperor's mercy...once Praetus had finished his studies and sampling of course. The nature of these mutations slowly became apparent to Praetus as he learned to watch for the subtle signs of a merely broken body versus a corrupted one.
